Having been doing some family research on an unrelated family & think I have found, by accident the Ashbourne parents & siblings of this gentleman. I wanted to ask, does this entry mean he was finally starting his journey home ?
Hi Mark – yes I would think so – after April there is no further mention of him. I believe that his father was a Sergeant in the Volunteers and his brother certainly served
cheers
