Arrived in France with the 46th North Midland Division in February 1915

Marsh platelayerReturned to England in February 1916 as time expired. Re-enlisted and qualified as a plate layer in the Royal Engineers and returned to France. Later transferred to the 17th Sherwood Foresters and renumbered 73444.

MarshTransferred back the 1/6th Battalion in September 1917 and killed in action on the 3rd September 1918 during the attack on Hunter’s Post
