Possibly Served in Ireland with 2/8th Battalion and arrived in France in 1916. Transferred to 2nd Battalion in February 1917

Transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters on the 19th February 1917 and renumbered 71622. Approximately 83 men transferred from the Territorial Battalions to the 2nd Battalion at this time and were issued with the number 71606 to 71689.
