A Derby Scheme man who was mobilised in 1916

Post Card written to 6542 Levi Tetley by his brother Leslie and posted on the 3rd January 1917. At that time Levi was serving with G Company of the 5th Reserve Battalion, which were on Garrison Duty at Louth in Lincolnshire.
In the 1911 Census, the Tetley Family were living at 7 Wesley Grove in Carsington, Nottinghamshire. Levi was aged 14 and a Telegraph Messenger, whilst his father Arthur (b. 1875) was a letter carrier and his mother Eliza (b.1876) was at home. Levi also had 6 younger brothers and sisters; Beatrice (b. 1899), Galdys Ivy (b. 1902), May (b. 1904), Leslie (b. 1906), Daris (b. 1908) and Chrissie Everline (b. 1910).
