A 1915 Recruit to the 3/6th Battalion

Arrived in France in March 1916 and wounded with the 1/6th Battalion in July 1917
British War Medal awarded to Albert Bacon

Arrived in France with the 7th Reinforcement in March 1916

Served with “C” Company and was wounded on 2nd July 1917 at Cite St Pierre by a gunshot in the left shoulder

Returned to England on the 12th July 1917 and transferred to the 5th Reserve Battalion in March 1918 and the 467th Company of the Royal Defence Corps in April.
