Henry was a printer from Bethnal Green when he was mobilised on the 26th September 1916 and posted to the 2/6th Battalion as part of a large contingent of 200 Londoners who were mobilised through the Central Recruiting Depot in Great Scotland Yard at Whitehall
Henry only served overseas with the 2/6th Battalion, but there is no record of when he was wounded Henry was finally discharged on the 11th March 1918 due to wounds received (possible during the 3rd Battle of Ypres)
