  • 979 James Huckles. Enlisted 13.2.09 aged 20; Served in F Company; Arrived in F & F on 27.2.15; Transferred to Hospital Ship “St David” on 6.3.15; Rejoined Battn on 4.4.15 and returned to England on 25.9.15; Posted to 3/6th Battn on 22.10.15 and Disc 3.3.16 (T of E); A Coal Miner from Stavely; Later served as 4690054 (re-enlisted 7.3.1920).
  • 980 Joseph Huckles. Enlisted 13.2.09 aged 18; Served in F Company; Arrived in F & F on 28.2.15; Wounded (GSW in face) on 9.8.15 and treated at 25 Gen Hosp; Returned to England on 15.2.16 and Disc 16.2.16 (T of E); A Coal Miner from Stavely; Later served as 4690053 (re-enlisted 7.3.1920).
  • 1008 Bernard Augustus Booth. Enlisted February 1909. Arrived F & F 28.2.15; Disemb 27.1.19; SWB F/A 1519
  • 1012 Edward Nightingale. Enlisted February 1909. Arrived F & F 18.8.15; Served with “A” Company and was wounded on 13/14.10.1915 at the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt; Disemb 23.1.19; TFEM 1.5.19. A Coal miner from Eckington.
  • 1317 Pte William Haywood a miner from Bolsover and Pre-War Territorial in “F” Company. Returned to England on the “SS Lydia” pending discharge due to Termination of Engagement.
  • 1336 Ernest Arthur Edinboro a labourer from Brimington and an original member of “F” (Staveley and District) Company who enlisted in February 1911. Ernest had previously been taken sick in May whilst in the trenches at Kemmel.
  • 1404 Pte John Davenport a coal miner from Bolsover and Pre-War Territorial in “F” Company. Retuned to England on “SS Copenhagen” pending discharge due to Termination of Engagement.
  • 1425 Pte Ernest Swift, a pipe moulder from Brimington and a Pre-War Territorial in “F” Company, was posted to the 46th North Midland Division Base Depot pending transfer to England and discharge as Time Expired.
  • 1490 Pte Jeremiah Thompson a miner from New Barlboro and Pre-War Territorial who served in “F” Company was admitted to the North Midland Field Ambulance with inflamed connective tissue (cellulosis) of the right knee. He was treated in the 12th Stationary and 9th General Hospitals before being transferred to England. He returned to France with the 2/6th Battalion in February 1917 and was wounded in December 1917.
  • 1687/240215 Pte Willie Coleman a miner from Barlborough and a pre-War Territorial who served with F Company and signed the Imperial Service Agreement at Eckington in May 1912. First wounded in June 1915 he returned to France with the 6th Reinforcement in March 1916 he suffered from shell shock on the 30th May 1917 and later returned to his unit. Disembodied on Demobilisation in February 1919.
  • 1690 Pte. Fred Phillips, a miner from Clowne and a Pre-War Territorial in “F” Company, suffered suffered from pyrexia on the 18th February and was transferred to the 46th Divisional Rest Station. He rejoined the 1/6th Battalion on the 24th February and was posted to “C” Company. He had previously been gassed on the 14th October 1915.
