The 1/5th Sherwood Foresters suffered four casualties
- 203661 Pte Walter Cammack. A colliery Clerk from Warsop who attested in November 1915 and was mobilised in March 1917. He arrived in France in June 1917 and was posted initially to the 2/6th Battalion before transferring to the 1/5th in July 1917. Walter left a wife and four children. See here
- 7516/203244 L/Cpl Arthur Perkins from Dudley in Staffordshire.
- 1380/305113 Pte Harold Sipson aged 26 and Son of Albert and Lizzie Sipson of 35 Bancroft Lane, Mansfield in Notts. Formerly 1380 in 1/8th Battalion.
- 90733 Pte Charles Talbot aged 20 and Son of George and Martha Talbot of Cottam in Retford, Notts.
1/4/18: Usual harassing fire of hostile artillery. Nothing else to report.
