15th Trench Duty 4th – 22nd September 1915

4.9.15 CANAL I.33: Took over trenches from 5th Battn (27, 28, 29, 30S & R11).

Sept 4th. Roll call 7-30 a.m. Went to communion 8 a.m. Inspection by Gen. Plumer 1 p.m. Packed up in afternoon and set off to trenches near St Eloi (Yser Canal) at 6 p.m. Good halt about half way & had cocoa & took packs off transport wagons, found the trenches very muddy. Dull day, & showers at intervals.

Wounded and sick men included:-

1318 Pte William Wragg 4.9.15 Haemorrhoids and admitted to 46 DRS and 4 British Red Cross Hospital on 6.9.15. Transferred to England on 7.9.15. Returned to France on 10.11.15 with the V Reinforcement.
1313 Pte Albert Coleman 8.9.15 Lumbargo and admitted to 1st NMFA and 46 DRS. Re-joined Battalion on 16.9.15.
