16th March 1915. Reveille 6-00 a.m. Fell in at 8-10 a.m. for route march. Went about fifteen miles. In the afternoon we had our first pay -10 Francs. Everybody made a rush for bread. Bread 1 Franc per loaf. Bread here baked in baskets.
