Lieutenant Joseph Tolsen was wounded whilst examining his wire in front the QUARRY. Lt FS Rowland took over Command of “B” Company.

He was admitted to the 1st CCS at Chocques were he died of his wounds and is buried in CHOCQUES MILITARY CEMETERY.
